Innovative Solutions for Planning Surgeries and Consumption Management

The first information system designed for the complete management of surgical interventions in Romania, ARMONIA®sanita Operating Theatre, was exclusively presented at the 13th Congress of the Romanian Plastic Surgeons Associations, between October 30th – November 1st, 2014.

The system can be used on mobile terminals and it covers the planning, management and reporting activities related to surgeries.

The users of the system may access the list of patients on waiting lists and may manage the resources needed for surgery: medical staff, sanitary materials, equipment, devices, operating room etc. Validation of preliminary stages, anesthetist’s record, surgery record are just some of the functionalities dedicated to the competent medical staff, which offer a holistic perspective on the work flow and on the patient, throughout the stay in the Operating Room.

ARMONIA®sanita Operating Theater is interoperable with the HIS (Hospital Information System) system and may be integrated with other medical applications related to laboratory, ANAPAT or radiology. The information on the patient’s medical records in the hospital, including lab tests results, can be transferred and made available for the staff within the Surgery Ward. Furthermore, the information to be reported from the application is taken over in SIUI and DRG reporting.

The system also provides a series of functionalities which answer the mobility and promptness needs of the staff working in the Operating Theater. The time allotted to data entry is minimal due to the working protocol lists and templates, which require only adjustments to the particularities of each case.

The system is available on mobile terminals, so that the information may be entered, as they are received, directly in the information system. Furthermore, data on the availability of the operating rooms, the available resources or about patients can be viewed from the ward or from any other location.
