Ploiesti Emergency County Hospital, awarded for technology

Ploiesti County Emergency Hospital,   received an award at the Awards Ceremony for Excellence in implementing a modern information system. Teamnet Dedalus implemented the ARMONIA®sanita suite in the hospital – a complete, computerized system for medical data management.

This autumn, the hospital (which includes several wards) implemented a complete system for managing the information in the hospital, as part of the project “Developing the Healthcare Information System by means of e-healthcare services, to the benefit of the residents of Prahova County”:

“I would like to mention that this is an innovative project in Romania, if we consider the issues we have solved for Ploiesti Emergency County Hospital: we have a unique patient’s record at hospital level, we have succeeded in merging all work flows from all wards and units, and the patients can set online appointments and can view their hospital history online. I firmly believe that, with this investment in technology, we will manage to maximize the quality of the healthcare services provided at Ploiesti Emergency County Hospital.”Mr.  Baloi Alexandru, MD, Ploiesti Emergency County Hospital

In the area of medical data management, the solution implemented in the hospital is ARMONIA®sanita, the complete, hospital-dedicated system, traded by Teamnet Dedalus. The implemented modules are: Hospitalization, Ambulatory, Doctor and Patient Portal, Laboratory and Reporting.  Within this project, the information system manages healthcare services provided for more than 4,000 patients every month. There are more than 1,000 users of the information system in the hospital, nurses and doctors. “We are pleased to hear that one year after receiving the award for the  pro-bono computerization of Buhusi Town Hospital, the first of its kind in Romania, another major project we developed was awarded, consisting of computerizing a hospital with more than 1,100 beds, Ploiesti Emergency County Hospital.. This year we have come to up to 7 implementations at once, which clearly indicates that there is increased demand for modern, integrated IT systems for Romanian hospitals. And the fact that healthcare providers prefer us rather challenges us to constantly launch innovative modules.” Bogdan Nedelcu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Teamnet Dedalus

The computerization of Ploiesti Emergency County Hospital is part of a complex EU-funded project, which involves aligning, – from the software point of view- 8 medical locations, 1, 000 effective users of the application and less than 10 months of implementation.
